Majorfax have installed a brand new paint shop facility at their Walsall site resulting in an increased order book and a recruitment drive.
The new facility was a significant investment and means Majorfax can deliver a high end A Surface quality paint product to their customers. The paint shop also means the company areon a recruitment drive. Not only will they be looking for paint shop operatives but as a result of increased orders are also looking to recruit a Sourcing / Purchasing Co-Ordinator and an Expeditor / Logistics Co-ordinator.
Managing Director at Majorfax, Steve Cooper, explains “Our customers were telling us that as well as the actual castings they would like us to be able to provide them with a large onsite paint shop to best serve their needs. We listened and duly invested and are now able to take orders”.
Majorfax have clients in both the UK and increasingly from overseas in an assortment of sectors including agriculture, architecture, engineering and automotive. Many of these clients are well known brand names. Having an onsite facility also means that the company have complete control over the quality of the paintwork and will also mean Majorfax can react quickly and deliver on short term requirements for customers.
Steve explains “The new facility means we can work with our customers and paint manufacturers and apply to their specific method. We work with many well-known brands and the importance of colour and finish for these customers is paramount. The new facility ensures that an exact colour match can be made for a particular brand”.
Majorfax has seen an increase in orders from both UK and overseas customers. The company supplies fully machined and assembled castings in Grey Iron, SG Iron, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Brass. Their expertise in supply chain management and commitment to quality and customer service meant the addition of the paint shop was a logical expansion for the business.
